Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while still fostering important connections with our clients. You will work Monday to Friday, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to accommodate the needs of our patients. As part of our collaborative team culture, you will regularly engage in virtual meetings and case consultations, contributing your insights and expertise while developing your professional skills.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments tailored to the geriatric population, identifying their specific mental, emotional, and social challenges.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that consider cognitive changes, physical health issues, and necessary social support.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, to effectively address complex psychiatric conditions among elderly clients.

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care that fosters optimal treatment outcomes.

• Respond to mental health emergencies with timely crisis intervention support and resources, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources, promoting informed decision-making.

• Maintain strict compliance with legal and ethical documentation standards in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring patient confidentiality and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary client focus will be on elderly patients facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment issues. Your work will largely contribute to improving their daily functioning, emotional stability, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, particularly with geriatric populations.

• Extensive knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in providing individualized and family therapy to older adults is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and compassionate communication, with an emphasis on a patient-centered approach.

• Ability to build trust and rapport with elderly patients, enhancing therapeutic outcomes.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is important.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
