Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health status of older adults, taking into consideration their unique social and physical health circumstances.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that are grounded in best clinical practices and tailored for the elderly demographic.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive counseling, to enhance patient care.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop an integrated health plan that addresses the multifaceted needs of our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services to older adults during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and intervention.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and how to access community resources effectively.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case discussions, contributing insights and suggestions to improve patient care strategies.

• Stay abreast of current research and advancements in geriatric mental health to continuously refine practice and provide the best patient care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets the geriatric population, focusing on common psychiatric conditions affecting older adults. Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with older adults.

• In-depth understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and the respective evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience providing clinical therapeutic opportunities both individually and with families of elderly patients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and their loved ones.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in computer applications.

• Capable of functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
