Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to the distinctive needs of elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, potential treatments, and community resource availability to foster informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records compliant with legal and ethical standards using advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings, presenting case consultations, and engaging in continuous professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on the geriatric population, addressing prevalent mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment issues stemming from life transitions. Your role will be vital as you advocate for the well-being of elderly patients, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health care in their later years.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably focusing on geriatric patients.

• Demonstrated understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach while working with elderly clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
