Work Environment\n

This role is designed to support flexible, remote work while being part of a dynamic outpatient setting. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as patient needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the elderly, focusing on understanding their unique psychological, cognitive, and social challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that account for physical health issues, cognitive changes, and socio-environmental factors, ensuring goals are tailored to each patient's situation.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions using evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and supportive therapy, offering both individual and family sessions.

• Collaborate effectively with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to craft integrated treatment plans that support comprehensive patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during psychiatric emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques tailored for older adults.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, empowering them with knowledge to bolster their treatment journey.

• Maintain meticulous records according to HIPAA regulations, ensuring that patient confidentiality and documentation accuracy meet legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to case consultations, staying abreast of research and developments in the field of geriatric psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population for this role includes older adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment difficulties. Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington is required.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or similar from an accredited institution.

• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health, including evidence-based treatments and interventions specific to this population.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems is expected to facilitate seamless documentation and communication.

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a remote environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly with older adult populations.
