Work Environment\n

This position is rooted in an outpatient office setting that embraces flexibility, allowing for remote work to cater to both therapists’ and clients’ needs. While the core work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility will be required to accommodate patient appointments and crises.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and treatment needs collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.

• Develop tailored individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience, incorporating evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process their trauma experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and promote overall healing.
\n
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and support staff ensuring all aspects of a patient’s treatment are considered and effectively managed.
\n
• Respond to crises and provide interventions during episodes related to trauma, offering immediate support and stabilization to clients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping techniques, and available community resources to enhance understanding and foster healing.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights, challenges, and progress collaboratively.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure the utilization of effective and relevant methodologies in your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will focus on a diverse group of clients who have been affected by various forms of trauma, including military veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals coping with loss or life-changing events. By providing specialized support, you will make a lasting impact on their recovery journeys, promoting mental resilience and helping them navigate their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with trauma-affected populations.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care methodologies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
\n
• Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience implementing evidence-based trauma-focused therapies, with a preference for those certified in EMDR or TF-CBT.

Compensation and Benefits\n
