Direct Counsel is representing a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a midlevel Associate (3–5 years) to join its sophisticated Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice.
Locations: Philadelphia | New York | Washington, D.C. | Chicago | Pittsburgh | Silicon Valley | San Francisco
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong employee benefits and executive compensation experience to work on complex transactional and advisory matters within a nationally recognized practice platform.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on employee benefits and executive compensation matters arising in:
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Corporate transactions
- Strategic business deals
- Design, draft, and advise on:
- Qualified pension plans
- Defined contribution plans
- Health & welfare plans
- Executive employment agreements
- Nonqualified deferred compensation plans
- Equity compensation arrangements
- Support clients with ongoing employee benefits and executive compensation compliance and operational matters
- Collaborate closely with corporate, tax, and executive compensation teams on sophisticated transactions
- 3–5 years of law firm experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- Strong experience advising on benefits and compensation issues in M&A transactions
- Experience with non-M&A employee benefits matters preferred
- Excellent academic credentials and strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Active bar membership required
Expected salary range in New York, California, and Washington, D.C.: $225,000 – $435,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
