Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and business insight generation. This role will also contribute significantly to the month-end close and financial reporting processes. This role is crucial in providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making and drive business performance. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and MD&A reporting.
Prepare and present financial reports, scorecards, variance analysis, and business performance metrics to senior management and key stakeholders.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business initiatives.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Develop and maintain complex financial models supporting key processes.
Monitor and analyze key financial performance indicators and provide insights on business trends and opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of presentations for board meetings and executive reviews.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial discipline and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting policies and procedures.
Provide financial analysis and support for capital investment decisions and strategic projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, MBA, or CMA certification preferred.
6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or related roles.
Strong working knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Experience with month-end close processes, financial reporting, and preparing financial statements.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills; prior experience with AS400 and JD Edwards preferred.
Experience in manufacturing operations within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies preferred.
