Accountant II

Accountant IIPenske Transportation Solutions is seeking an Accountant II with a passion for business operations to join our team in Reading, PA. This position will be responsible for monthly accounting activities including preparing journal entries, conducting month-end analytics, and completing account reconciliations. The Accountant II is a result-driven professional who collaborates effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment.Major Responsibilities:Prepare accurate, complete, and timely journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement workpapers, and special projects with adequate supportApply intermediate GAAP knowledge and follow established polices and proceduresPrepare and monitor metrics within assigned areasPrepare monthly P&L variance analysisIdentify and implement process improvementsWork with International teams to review monthly account reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues timelyOther projects and ad hoc requests assigned by supervisorQualifications:1 to 3 years experience in the field of accounting requiredBachelor's degree in AccountingIntermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft products, specifically ExcelStrong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholdersStrong problem solving, judgment, and organizational skills.
