Job Description Job Title: Branded Content Writer Department: Advertising Job Type: Part-Time Georges Media Group is seeking a part‑time branded content writer for The Advocate, The Times‑Picayune, The Acadiana Advocate and The Shreveport‑Bossier City Advocate. The person in this role will work with clients to craft engaging stories about their organization’s achievements and role in their communities, while ensuring the stories align with the organization’s brand and resonate with Georges Media Group’s target audiences. Key Responsibilities: Work with clients to develop concepts for branded content stories that effectively communicate the client’s message and values Conduct interviews, gather information and write engaging and persuasive content for print and digital platforms Self‑edit and proofread content prior to client review to ensure accuracy, clarity and grammatical correctness Collaborate with internal teams to prepare stories for print and digital publication Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related field Three to five years of experience in professional writing, preferably in a creative agency, media outlet or corporate environment Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive attitude and passion for storytelling Applicants will be asked to submit three to five published writing samples. This position can be based in any of Georges Media Group’s four Louisiana markets. Remote and hybrid work options are available. Some travel may be required for in-person interviews, video shoots or meetings with key clients.
