2027 Future Talent Program - Global Medical Affairs - Intern

Merck is seeking an intern for its Global Medical Affairs division to support the Human Papillomavirus Vaccines team for up to 12 weeks. The role involves developing and executing medical affairs projects, including literature reviews, medical narratives, and real-world evidence summaries related to HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute assigned projects in collaboration with supervisor and team
- Summarize scientific publications and create digestible internal communications
- Assist with preparation of medical narratives and input meetings on HPV topics
- Support real-world evidence updates and adult vaccination literature reviews
- Engage in cross-functional discovery conversations on vaccine screening and delivery
Requirements
- PhD candidate in Public Health (Epidemiology preferred) or MD candidate
- Background in HPV, vaccines, sexually transmitted infections, or cervical cancer
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Project management and operational skills
- Experience developing or publishing systematic literature reviews
- Familiarity with R, SAS, SEERSTAT, or Microsoft Excel
Compensation: $39,908 - $111,111 USD
