Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will operate in an outpatient office setting designed to facilitate both individual and group therapeutic sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations through thorough assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs and recovery goals using various modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced rehabilitation equipment.
• Monitor and document each patient's progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on their responsiveness and evolving conditions.
• Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process, treatment objectives, and self-management strategies to promote independence.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with multidisciplinary needs.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to remain updated on the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating adult patients with orthopedic conditions that may require rehabilitation following surgery, injury, or chronic pain management. You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients recovering from sports injuries, post-operative care, and degenerative musculoskeletal disorders. Delivering compassionate, culturally competent care tailored to individual patient needs is paramount to enhance rehabilitation success.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• Current state licensure in New Jersey as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to adapt to the varying needs of patients in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is a plus, but recent graduates and new practitioners are encouraged to apply as mentorship will be provided.
• Familiarity with assistive devices such as braces, prosthetics, or orthotics is beneficial.
• Experience in patient education and caregiver training will enhance the therapy experience.

Compensation and Benefits
