Billing & Accounting Specialist
Our client is an organization in the greater Madison area looking to add a Billing & Accounting Specialist. This client is looking for someone with strong attention to detail, billing and collections experience, and the ability to support a collaborative accounting team environment.
The Billing & Accounting Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Manage billing processes and ensure accurate and timely invoicing
- Support accounts receivable functions including payment application, account reconciliation, and collections follow-up
- Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, outstanding balances, and payment status updates
- Assist with accounts payable support and provide crossover coverage as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and support documentation within accounting systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes and efficiencies
The Billing & Accounting Specialist will possess the following:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of billing, accounts receivable, collections, or general accounting experience required
- Experience with accounts payable support is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
