Key Responsibilities

• Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations, and creating tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic health conditions, either collaboratively with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Educating patients and their families about wellness and disease prevention
• Prescribing medications and treatment within your scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management

• Meticulously documenting in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education and Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an appropriate specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire within 90 days)
