Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental and emotional health through initial assessments and ongoing evaluations.

• Formulate individualized treatment plans based on client assessments, personal consultations, and evidence-based practices.

• Deliver individual therapy sessions to children and adults, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

• Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relational dynamics.

• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans to reflect clients’ progress, adapting to any new challenges or goals.

• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment histories, ensuring compliance with coding procedures for reimbursement.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to client care.

• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing acute distress, employing de-escalation techniques and referrals as necessary.

• Stay current with advancements in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy through continuous education and professional development opportunities.

• Promote clients’ self-advocacy and empower them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment pathways.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various age groups and backgrounds. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.

• Active and current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board of Maryland.
