Oasis of Clinical Support is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing vital therapeutic services to children and families. Our team operates in a dynamic remote setting, fostering collaboration and communication among colleagues while remaining flexible to the needs of our clients. Therapists will engage in both in-home therapy sessions and virtual interactions, employing various evidence-based practices to support families effectively. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy in our community-based outpatient center.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic interventions to address issues such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills enhancement while effectively managing high-risk behaviors like self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.

• Assist caregivers in improving their decision-making skills for managing challenging behaviors at home, fostering a supportive environment for growth and development.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to create a cohesive support system for each child and their family.
\n
• Complete and submit all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely manner.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and provide recommendations based on observed progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients primarily consist of children aged 3 to 20 who have developmental disabilities and related challenges. We prioritize culturally competent care and welcome candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, allowing us to connect with a broader range of families in our community. By addressing their diverse needs, we strive to empower children and families to achieve optimum functioning and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is necessary to practice in New York.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM) is essential, with flexibility on weekends being an advantage.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory for travel to clients’ homes.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support interventions is highly beneficial.

• Prior experience working specifically with children, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

• Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic models and practices that cater to youth populations will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
