Work Environment\n

This position is remote but integrates seamlessly with our outpatient office's dynamic work culture. You will collaborate with a variety of professionals within the Child Family Treatment Team to ensure a cohesive approach to therapeutic care. Monthly meetings will facilitate the sharing of insights and strategies, enabling you to contribute to continuous improvements within our services, even while working from home.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized therapy sessions to children and families, utilizing evidence-based practices to address various emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Conduct group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Address and reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, through tailored intervention strategies.
\n
• Develop and implement treatment plans in cooperation with the Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
\n
• Submit timely and accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to maintain continuity of care.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings, actively participating in the discussion of patient progress and contributing recommendations for ongoing care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Oasis of Clinical Support, you will work primarily with children aged 3-20 who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. This client population often requires a nuanced approach to therapy, addressing both emotional and behavioral needs within the context of their family dynamics. Your role will significantly impact their lives by enhancing coping mechanisms and improving decision-making skills among both youth and primary caregivers.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• A valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Willingness and availability to work 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with weekend availability preferred.
\n
• Proficiency in providing positive behavior support and implementing behavioral change strategies.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those facing developmental and intellectual challenges.

• Familiarity with cultural considerations for bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) families is a plus, enhancing our service outreach.

• Preferred experience in a therapeutic setting that emphasizes collaborative approaches within multidisciplinary teams.

• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle, necessary for travel, if needed.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Oasis of Clinical Support offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 annually, which is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
