This position is primarily remote, allowing licensed therapists the flexibility to provide treatment from their own homes or through in-community sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions for clients in their homes or at our outpatient facility, adapting treatment methods to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

• Develop and implement treatment plans that address various challenges, including anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.

• Address high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, by employing evidence-based interventions tailored to the specific circumstances of each client.

• Enhance decision-making skills for both adolescents and caregivers to effectively tackle behavioral issues at home, improving family dynamics overall.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other healthcare professionals, sharing insights and strategies to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all relevant documentation, including intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes, as part of compliance and quality assurance procedures.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing proactive feedback and recommendations to foster ongoing improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing intensive therapy to children aged 3-20, especially those with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our organization serves a diverse clientele, and we are particularly interested in candidates who are fluent in Spanish or Portuguese to better connect with our bilingual community members. Through dedicated engagement, you will be instrumental in helping youngsters navigate their unique challenges and achieve their fullest potential.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), with some flexibility for weekend sessions.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle to commute for home visits and community therapy when necessary.
\n
• Clearance of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the utmost safety and security for our clients.
