Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the regions largest multispecialty group.  Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.  We are seeking Anesthesiologist to join our employed physician team at Baystate Health.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

\n

\n
• Diverse Clinical Practice: Engage in a variety of case types at a Level I trauma center, collaborating with a team of anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs.?
\n
• Flexible Scheduling: Choose from 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts; full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available.?
\n
• Academic Excellence: Participate in teaching and mentoring through our affiliation with UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate, with opportunities for clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.?
\n
• Comprehensive Subspecialty Divisions: Collaborate with specialized divisions including Acute Pain Service, Cardiovascular Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia, Obstetric Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, and more, each led by dedicated division chiefs.?
\n
• Educational Programs: Contribute to our ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship programs, fostering the next generation of anesthesiologists.?

• Continuous Learning: Engage in regular Anesthesia Grand Rounds and symposia, promoting ongoing professional development

Qualifications:  

\n

\n
• Completion of a 4-year residency in Anesthesiology (or anticipated completion).?
\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.?
\n
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure.
\n
• Candidates with subspecialized training in Pain management. Cardiac anesthesia. Pediatric anesthesia. Neuro-anesthesia. Obstetric anesthesia. Critical (intensive) care encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

\n

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidates relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees

General Anesthesia: $530,000 - $585,000 - $600,000
