Founding Account Executive, Mid-Market (AI for Finance & Accounting), New York

The company A seed-stage AI company of about 25 people. They build agents that remove the manual grind from corporate accounting: revenue recognition, reconciliation, month-end close, and cash. Their customers are CFOs and Controllers at companies doing $100M to $1B+ in revenue. They’re backed by a recognizable VC fund and well-known founder angels. The head of sales sold to finance teams for over a decade. This is the fastest growth in the domain. The role You run full sales cycles of three to four months with CFOs, Controllers and finance leaders, on six-figure deals. Dedicated bds book your meetings, so you don't cold call. You’d be one of the first account executives, helping shape how the team sells. Who this is for Someone who knows accounting at a granular level. Ideally, a CPA who started in audit, moved into industry, and now sells finance or accounting software. We value domain depth over everything else. If you’re a CPA who has never sold, but you explain complex things clearly, earn trust quickly and want to move toward the commercial side, I want to hear from you. They’ll teach you the sales side. Experienced sellers of finance or accounting software to mid-market companies are also a great fit. Generic software sales without a finance buyer, or small-business-only selling, is not. The details New York office. Five days in office, or three to four if you commute from outside the city. Base salary $135,000 to $180,000. On-target earnings $270,000 to $360,000, split 50/50 between base and commission.
