Schedule: Days/Nights or Nights only; rotating shifts reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs; 72-hour orientation

Highlights:

• Work on a newly established 12-bed Medical Oncology Palliative Care unit focused on symptom management and quality of life improvement
• Provide compassionate care for patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses experiencing uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
• Opportunity to enhance palliative care skills while maintaining med-surg competencies through floating to equivalent or lower acuity units
• Utilize Epic EMR system in a patient-centered, interdisciplinary care environment
• Support patients and families through complex healthcare decisions with dignity and comfort
• Travel nursing assignment with opportunities for both local and out-of-state candidates

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of current acute care RN experience required (must be actively working in specialty within the last 12 months)
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain interventions and equianalgesic dosing of opioids
• Proficiency in heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV management, PCA, and oxygen administration
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
