Business Development Representative – Fire & Security An established and growing fire protection and security solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Representative to join its sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a B2B sales professional with experience in fire protection, security, alarm, or low-voltage systems who enjoys building relationships and identifying new revenue opportunities. Unlike a traditional hunter role focused entirely on cold prospecting, this position will primarily work with an established customer base, identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships by introducing additional fire and security products and services. What You’ll Do Develop additional business within an established customer portfolio Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across fire and security product lines Build relationships with business owners, property managers, contractors, and key decision-makers Educate customers on fire detection, alarm systems, monitoring, notification devices, access control, CCTV, and video surveillance solutions Conduct outbound sales calls and occasional on-site customer consultations Assess customer needs and recommend tailored, value-driven solutions Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience from sale through implementation Maintain accurate pipeline, sales, and customer activity within the CRM Consistently work toward individual sales and revenue goals Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies What We’re Looking For 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience Experience within fire protection, security, alarm, or low-voltage industries strongly preferred Knowledge of fire alarm, security systems, and/or low-voltage infrastructure Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated and proactive approach to uncovering new opportunities Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams Experience using CRM and sales management platforms Compensation Competitive base salary, negotiable based on experience Quarterly bonus opportunities Annual bonus opportunities 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid short-term and long-term disability Company-paid life and AD&D insurance Pre-tax health and dependent care accounts Aflac Vacation and personal time Paid holidays Why This Opportunity?
