Program Manager

Program Manager for Strategic Systems Voyager is an innovative space, defense, and national security technology company committed to advancing and delivering transformative, mission‑critical solutions. The Program Manager for Strategic Systems is responsible for the leadership and execution of Voyager’s portfolio of programs across solid rocket motors, chemicals, and explosives, in conjunction with the chief engineer or lead engineer. The position reports to the General Manager, Voyager Energetics and is part of the leadership team based in Pueblo and Penrose, CO. This role is onsite or hybrid based in Pueblo and Penrose, CO or remote for highly qualified candidates. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive, coordinated plans for a portfolio of 3‑10 projects, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, risk assessments, and resource requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and government agencies, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives. Monitor and project budgets/financials, ensuring adherence to financial targets and cost management throughout the project lifecycle. Manage and communicate scope changes, ensuring alignment with program goals and customer expectations. Required Qualifications 10 years of experience in project or supply chain management and operations. Experience managing defense or government projects. Experience negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, or customers. Experience with project management software to manage schedules and budgets. Travel, Physical, and Government Mandated Requirements Travel up to 30%, including the possibility of overnights, to customer sites, industry conferences, and program reviews. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship). Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, minimum age requirements (21 and over), and comply with all applicable workplace and background investigation regulations. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must meet eligibility criteria for U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Compensation The good faith base salary range for this role is $170,000–$200,000 . This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
