This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Cape Coral, Florida. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Directing and implementing physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring functional movement in clients suffering from orthopedic conditions.
• Overseeing the work of physical therapy assistants to ensure accurate and effective delivery of services in accordance with established treatment protocols.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and function.
• Making recommendations for modifications to improve clients' home environments, promoting greater independence in daily activities.
• Administering hands-on therapeutic exercises while instructing and motivating clients towards non-manual exercises and functional tasks.
• Utilizing a variety of treatments including traction and massage, evaluating and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices per physician recommendations.
• Documenting observations and changes in client conditions in clinical records, maintaining an accurate and updated account of care plans and progress notes.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on comprehensive care strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Educating clients and their families on home exercise programs, the proper use of therapy devices, and overall rehabilitation strategies.
• Completing ongoing assessments and revisions of care plans to adapt to clients' evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with diverse patient populations, including post-operative patients, athletes, and individuals with mobility impairments. Each interaction aims to enhance their quality of life and promote their physical wellbeing.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience, specifically in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A commitment to clinical excellence, ongoing education, and a passion for patient advocacy.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have a background in orthopedic rehabilitation, familiarity with the latest therapy techniques and technologies, and the ability to lead in a collaborative team environment. Experience in community health resources and knowledge of federal, state, and governance regulations enhancing practice standards are also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of the skills and expertise you bring, the salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
