Key Responsibilities

• Effectively assess patients by reviewing comprehensive medical histories and performing a range of physical assessments to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies clearly with patients and their families, involving them in goal setting to ensure alignment with their personal health objectives.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols based on ongoing evaluations and patient responses, documenting care progress accurately and timely to reflect the patient's journey.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and specialists, to address complex patient needs and adjust care plans as required.
• Manage discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-treatment, including follow-up strategies that align with best practices and community resources.
• Maintain high productivity levels while adhering to a structured schedule, punctually participating in departmental meetings and community outreach programs.
• Contribute actively to team initiatives aimed at improving clinic operations and achieving departmental goals, consistently aligning practice with regulatory standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development through education, clinical research, and serve as a clinical instructor to aspiring physical therapists.
• Create an approachable and accommodating atmosphere for patients, ensuring a positive experience throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Support efforts to enhance patient access to care by identifying and addressing barriers within the healthcare system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves individuals with orthopedic conditions, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Our patients often include athletes, elderly individuals, and those recovering from musculoskeletal injuries. Through evidence-based practice, our therapists aim to restore function, alleviate pain, and empower patients to regain active lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in the state of Florida.
• At least two (2) years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety and emergency preparedness.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced training or specialization in orthopedic physical therapy, including manual therapy techniques.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Involvement in professional organizations related to physical therapy or orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits
