Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for a range of key duties, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients through detailed history reviews and specialized assessments to develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Effectively communicating evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, actively involving them in setting rehabilitative goals.
• Implementing tailored treatment protocols grounded in patient-centered evaluations, adapting as necessary to meet evolving healthcare needs.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Recognizing and documenting changes in patient conditions, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.
• Facilitating timely discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure seamless transitions in rehabilitation.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, interim summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Managing time effectively to meet productivity expectations and maintain accurate scheduling.
• Participating in community outreach activities to enhance the visibility of our services and foster relationships within the community.
• Contributing to departmental goals and complying with regulatory requirements to uphold quality standards.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and competencies while also mentoring students in clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients are primarily individuals undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including joint replacements, fractures, soft tissue injuries, and post-operative care. We cater to a diverse population ranging from athletes to seniors, requiring you to apply a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to different age groups and activity levels.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist, in accordance with Florida regulations.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• A strong understanding of clinical practices related to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional communication skills to foster effective patient and family engagement.

Preferred Experience
