Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to determine patients' functional limitations.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs and progress.
• Make informed recommendations to healthcare providers regarding patient care and treatment continuity.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies and interventions while maintaining adherence to documentation standards.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, exercises, and self-management strategies.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote health awareness and the importance of physical therapy.
• Mentor and supervise students, interns, and less experienced staff, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate patient care effectively.
• Keep clear and comprehensive records of all patient interactions and treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve adult patients who require orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will leverage your knowledge in biomechanics and physical function to create rehabilitation plans that help patients regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A strong foundation in physical therapy practices and methodologies.

Preferred Experience
