Work Environment

This position is full-time and requires presence in our onsite rehabilitation facility. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and therapy equipment, providing an ideal workspace for therapists to deliver effective care. Additionally, our therapists enjoy the flexibility to choose their hours, allowing for a balanced work-life arrangement typically within a Monday to Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of each patient's condition to develop customized treatment plans that address individual needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercise prescriptions, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to facilitate recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patients' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, rehabilitation processes, and the use of any necessary assistive devices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and peer consultations to remain current with industry best practices.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to educate the public about physical health and the benefits of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists serve a diverse client demographic, including children and adults with a wide variety of diagnoses such as orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, post-surgical rehabilitations, and chronic pain disorders. By focusing on individualized care, our therapists recognize the unique challenges faced by each patient, ensuring appropriate interventions that promote recovery and enhance mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred).
• A valid physical therapy license to practice in the state of Florida.
• Strong proficiency in verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Computer literacy for documentation and treatment planning.
• A proactive approach towards learning and adapting practices for continuous improvement in patient care.
• Flexibility in managing a dynamic workload and adapting to patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is preferred, although new graduates with strong potential will be considered.
• Experience in home care or rehabilitation services will be a plus.
