Tough Mind Physical Therapy is actively looking for a dedicated and experienced Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This is a full-time position based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, where you will be instrumental in enhancing the lives of our patients through evidence-based practices and personalized care plans.

Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment within our rehabilitation center located in scenic Fort Myers Beach. The center is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technology, allowing for comprehensive evaluations and targeted treatments. Your work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, providing you with a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with state practice acts, ensuring adherence to regulations governing physical therapy practice and supervision.
• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans for patients facing various functional limitations and disabilities.
• Provide assessment services by reviewing patient history, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings with recommendations for care.
• Implement treatment protocols tailored to evaluation results, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress and trends in healthcare practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals when needed, recognizing any changes in patient conditions that may necessitate modifications in treatment plans.
• Engage in meticulous discharge planning and ensure continuity of care through comprehensive documentation of patient interactions, including treatment goals and progress summaries.
• Maintain compliance with all corporate and clinical training initiatives, aligning with state and federal regulations.
• Evaluate, treat, and direct therapy for qualified patients, ensuring clear documentation of the medical necessity for services.
• Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to discussions focused on improving patient access and quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse outpatient population, primarily consisting of individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and mobility challenges. It is essential to exhibit compassion and understanding while employing evidence-based therapy techniques to guide each patient through their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While the basic qualifications include a doctorate and requisite experience, candidates with advanced training in manual therapy techniques, sports rehabilitation, or specialized certifications will be favorably considered. Additional expertise or knowledge in utilizing electronic health record systems and data management tools can enhance the effectiveness of treatment delivery.

Compensation and Benefits
