Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance muscle function, while developing custom treatment plans based on each client's individual needs.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants in executing care plans effectively, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using diagnostic assessments to inform treatment strategies.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding the home environment to facilitate clients' rehabilitation and increased independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, including administering exercises, traction, and therapeutic modalities.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, making modifications as necessary for optimal client use.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate as a key member of the interdisciplinary team to participate in case conferences, providing insights and evaluations that enhance overall treatment effectiveness.
• Instruct clients and their families on the effective use of physical therapy devices and active engagement in their therapy programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for clinical and administrative purposes, including compliance with branch policies.
• Conduct on-site functional assessments and adapt care plans based on ongoing evaluations and the utilization of community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients recovering from surgeries, accidents, or chronic illnesses that require rehabilitation services. Our clientele may include elderly patients needing support for mobility and strength, as well as younger individuals recovering from sports-related injuries or surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering therapeutic relationships that encourage client engagement and motivation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; preference for candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or home care setting, showcasing relevant professional expertise.
• Current PT licensure in good standing in the state of Florida, along with valid CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A keen understanding of both federal and state healthcare regulations that govern physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly in outpatient clinics or similar environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative therapy programs that respond to the diverse needs of patients.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other clinical documentation software.

Compensation and Benefits

Perfect Ratio Therapy Services, Inc. offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
