Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist working onsite at our rehabilitation center in Fort Myers, you will enjoy a dynamic and engaging work environment. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation practices. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, rehabilitation aides, and medical professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Weekly hours are set at 40, with occasional weekends, providing a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine specific physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and conduct therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical capabilities, including strength training, mobility exercises, and pain management techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, progress expectations, and home exercise programs to promote self-management and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and billing notes in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, to ensure cohesive patient care and facilitate continuity in treatment plans.
• Participate in departmental leadership initiatives such as community outreach, quality improvement projects, and program development to enhance the overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required.
