Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our rehabilitation center, where you will be part of a multidisciplinary team composed of healthcare professionals who work together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. You will engage with patients of varying backgrounds and cultures, ensuring adherence to our high standards of customer service while fostering an atmosphere of compassion and support. With a standard weekly schedule of 40 hours, your work hours may include some variability on weekends, accommodating patient needs and providing flexibility within our scheduling framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to assess patients' functional limitations and disabilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that encompass both short-term and long-term goals based on your clinical findings.
• Provide effective consultations to healthcare providers regarding the patient's continuum of care, addressing any concerns and incoming referrals as needed.
• Implement treatment plans and re-evaluate patients periodically to track progress and make necessary adjustments to therapies.
• Document all patient evaluations, treatments, and discharges in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with the interdisciplinary treatment team, referral sources, and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts, and marketing projects to promote our services.
• Engage in leadership activities, including training and supervising physical therapy assistants, aides, and students.
• Attend staff meetings regularly and pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, chronic pain, and various orthopedic conditions. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all patients, regardless of age or cultural background, receive tailored care that aligns with their unique needs and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A current State License in Physical Therapy is required to practice in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic health record (EHR) systems is necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist is required, additional qualifications such as a background in sports rehabilitation, geriatric care, or neuro rehabilitation will be regarded as advantageous. Experience with specific populations or conditions may enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
