Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office in Fort Myers, Florida, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. You will typically work Monday to Friday, with a standard shift of 40 hours a week, allowing for a work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, utilizing clinical assessments and patient history to create individualized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment programs for patients with diverse needs including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Apply various therapeutic techniques and procedures to improve function, manage pain, and facilitate recovery while maintaining open communication with the physicians regarding patient progress.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on rehabilitation exercises, modifications for daily activities, and home care strategies to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service by fostering genuine relationships with patients and ensuring they feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Meet utilization goals and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team, exploring opportunities to incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to an environment of collaborative practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse population of patients who are seeking to regain mobility and improve their quality of life after injuries or surgeries. You will have the opportunity to work with young athletes striving to return to sports, elderly individuals recovering from surgery, and various other clients needing specialized therapeutic interventions. Each interaction will allow you to apply your expertise while making a positive impact on the lives of your patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in computer systems and digital documentation to maintain accurate patient records.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is highly preferred.
• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is an advantage.
• Experience in collaborative care environments to enhance interdisciplinary treatment approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, complemented by a robust benefits package.
