Spindletop Physical Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, develop individual treatment plans, and implement tailored therapy programs for patients referred by physicians, ensuring adherence to medical guidelines.
• Utilize your clinical expertise to perform a variety of therapy interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
• Engage in ongoing assessments and modify treatment plans as necessary to adapt to patient progress and changing needs.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their caregivers regarding treatment progress, home exercise programs, and self-management strategies to empower them in their recovery.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining confidentiality throughout all interactions.
• Actively participate in team meetings and clinical discussions to share knowledge, collaborate on complex cases, and identify opportunities for improving service delivery.
• Meet and exceed utilization goals and participate in initiatives geared towards continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Spindletop, you will encounter a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, children with developmental concerns, patients with neurological conditions, and athletes seeking to enhance their performance. You will employ a holistic approach to treat a variety of conditions while also focusing on fostering strong, trusting relationships with patients to encourage adherence to treatment plans and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including documentation software and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to establish rapport with patients and their families, exhibiting a strong desire to connect and positively impact their rehabilitation journey.
• A proactive attitude toward teamwork, collaboration, and community engagement.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation, sports medicine, or pediatrics.
