Position Overview

Paramount Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. As a pivotal member of our home care team, you will provide high-quality rehabilitation services to patients in their own homes, helping them recover and regain their independence. Work Environment

This position is based onsite as an in-home therapist, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with patients in their own living environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and identify rehabilitation needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that may incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, stretching, hands-on manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices.
• Implement treatment plans within patients' homes, modifying interventions as needed based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking outcomes and adjusting therapeutic goals where necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Educate patients and caregivers on effective self-care strategies and the proper use of assistive devices to enhance mobility and independence.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physical therapy, participating in professional development opportunities such as workshops and seminars.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and related conditions. The diverse patient demographic ranges from children to seniors, each requiring tailored therapeutic approaches to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory for this position.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy is required.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of home care environments.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience is ideal, recent graduates are encouraged to apply. We offer mentorship for new graduates to support their transition into clinical practice.
• Two years of experience in physical therapy within home care settings or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
