Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans that focus on relieving pain, restoring function, and preventing disability.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations assessing muscle, joint, and functional capabilities using diagnostics and prognostics.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and treatment plan modifications as necessary.
• Deliver hands-on care, administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Evaluate and recommend orthotic and prosthetic devices, working collaboratively with physicians to ensure optimal fit and function.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously in clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing valuable insights into patient care strategies and collaborating to achieve holistic treatment goals.
• Instruct patients and their families on effective use of physical therapy devices and self-management strategies to enhance their recovery journey.
• Continue professional development and stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices, regulations, and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, valid PT licensure in the state of Florida.

• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Compensation and Benefits
