Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing therapists to conduct sessions in the comfort of patients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients, gathering comprehensive medical histories and understanding their physical conditions and symptoms as referred by physicians.
• Evaluate and diagnose movement dysfunction through active listening and direct observation of patients' mobility and functionality.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and movement training designed to enhance recovery.
• Engage with patients during sessions to teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches, ensuring they understand their routines to improve outcomes.
• Utilize hands-on techniques, such as massage and mobilization, to alleviate pain, enhance circulation, and stimulate healing.
• Maintain detailed patient records, tracking progress toward established goals, and adjusting treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in patient condition.
• Offer guidance to patients and their families regarding home care strategies, expectations during recovery, and empower them with knowledge about their health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. The role includes managing a typical caseload of two patients per hour, allowing you to provide personalized attention and ensure thorough rehabilitation support. By addressing the unique needs of each patient, you will play a crucial role in their recovery process.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating proficiency in addressing musculoskeletal conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with varied patient demographics and their families.

Compensation and Benefits
