Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our outpatient clinic, offering a welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. Your role will involve direct patient interaction within an orthopedic setting, where you will utilize state-of-the-art equipment and evidence-based practices to guide your treatment approaches. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, limitations, and needs, enabling tailored treatment plans that maximize recovery outcomes.
• Manage a patient caseload, dedicating time to each patient—no more than one patient per hour—to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Implement effective, evidence-based intervention strategies aimed at restoring a comprehensive range of motion and function.
• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining diagnoses and collaborating to create goals centered around improving their mobility.
• Reduce reliance on medications by offering natural treatment alternatives and minimizing the need for surgical interventions whenever possible.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and education on lifestyle modifications.
• Motivate and encourage patients during their recovery process, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their treatments.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Document all treatment services and patient interactions meticulously to maintain accurate health records.
• Evaluate and monitor treatment progress consistently, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. You will encounter a diverse range of cases, allowing you to apply your expertise to assist individuals of varying ages and physical conditions. Your role directly impacts their ability to regain mobility, restore function, and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement of a Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A strong professional record free of disciplinary actions or complaints.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and physical rehabilitation practices.
• Excellent skills in developing and implementing exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to educate and train patients in proper exercise techniques and injury prevention strategies.
• Additional certifications in specialty areas of physical therapy are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
