Associate Scientist II, Research
Vaxcyte
Vaxcyte seeks an Associate Scientist II to support vaccine formulation and process development research. The role involves executing pre-formulation studies, stability testing, and analytical method development for novel bacterial vaccine candidates in a collaborative research environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and coordinate pre-formulation and formulation studies including stability and excipient screening
- Execute assays such as protein concentration, pH testing, and visual assessments to support team needs
- Assist senior scientists in developing analytical methods for large molecule characterization
- Support process development studies across ongoing research projects
- Maintain accurate experimental records using company ELN system
Requirements
- BA/BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or Biology with 2+ years industrial experience
- MS in related discipline with minimum 1 year industrial experience
- Proficiency in buffer and lab reagent preparation
- Experience with biological characterization techniques including pH measurement and biochemical assays
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and experimental execution
- Strong written documentation and ELN system skills
