Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our well-equipped hospital facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Nurse Practitioner will operate in a dynamic and patient-centered environment, working alongside skilled medical assistants, lab technicians, and experienced physicians. Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Obtaining detailed patient histories and conducting thorough physical examinations.
• Ordering and performing diagnostic procedures, implementing targeted treatment plans, and evaluating their effectiveness.
• Administering therapeutic interventions such as trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks, with or without ultrasound guidance.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educating patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Making referrals to specialists when appropriate and coordinating care to enhance patient experiences.
• Participating in the review of monthly prescription monitoring reports to ensure compliance and safety in medication management.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Providing telehealth consultations and remaining on call during non-clinic hours on a rotational basis with other providers.

Qualifications

To be considered for this important position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner Studies with board certification as a Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in pain management is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification and an unrestricted DEA license.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in utilizing EMR systems, to maintain patient information effectively.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all clinical practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly and caring demeanor to foster effective patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

While 1 year of experience in pain management is preferred, candidates with significant clinical experience in related fields, bilingual in English and Spanish, and a strong desire to contribute positively to patient care are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 165,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package, including:
