Job Overview Person County Department of Social Services is seeking a dedicated Social Worker III – Adult Home Specialist / Guardianship / Adult Day Services to join the Adult Services team. This role protects vulnerable adults by ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of adult care homes while providing specialized services that promote health, dignity, and well‑being for individuals in Person County. Responsibilities Ensure the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of adult care homes. Provide specialized services to promote the health, dignity, and well‑being of vulnerable adults. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement care plans and programs. Conduct assessments, audits, and inspections of adult care facilities. Advocate for clients and facilitate access to necessary resources and services. Qualifications Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; or Master’s degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience. Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Employee must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US within 3 days of start. Candidate must clear background and drug screening as per county policy. Work Hours This is a non‑exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly (1950 hours annually).
