Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students through occupational therapy services in a collaborative school environment near Romeoville, IL. Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of educational OT practices and IEP process
- Commitment to fostering student independence and functional skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt to changing caseload needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Complete assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation in a timely manner
- Work closely with educational teams and parents to develop and implement individualized plans
- Provide consultation and support to staff on accommodations and strategies
- Contribute actively to multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Support transitions and advocate for students’ diverse needs in all school settings
