Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Generalist with hands-on payroll experience to serve as a key resource for employees and managers across payroll, benefits, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations. This role will own the end-to-end payroll process through Paylocity while supporting the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and orientation through employee relations and benefits administration.Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.The ideal candidate has solid experience processing payroll, is approachable and trusted by employees and managers, and is highly organized and detail-oriented. This person should be comfortable balancing hands-on HR responsibilities with opportunities to improve processes, systems, and overall HR operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll AdministrationOwn and process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity accurately and on time, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and garnishments.Audit payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and respond to employee payroll questions.Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements.Partner with internal teams and payroll providers as needed to resolve payroll issues and ensure timely processing.Employee Support & HR AdministrationServe as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, and general HR matters.Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files within the HRIS.Prepare HR reports and data for leadership as needed.Employee RelationsProvide guidance to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, and HR best practices.Support employee relations investigations, documentation, and resolution in a fair, consistent, and confidential manner.Onboarding & OrientationManage the onboarding process from offer acceptance through the new hire's first days of employment.Lead new hire orientation and introduce employees to company policies, benefits, systems, and culture.Benefits AdministrationCoordinate benefits administration, including open enrollment, new hire and life event enrollments, and carrier/vendor communications.Assist employees with benefits questions and claims resolution.Develop and communicate clear information regarding benefits offerings and changes.HRIS & Process ImprovementSupport HRIS administration and system-related projects, including data management, reporting, and process improvements.Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency.Training & DevelopmentDevelop and deliver training on HR topics, including new systems, benefits programs, and performance management.Support managers throughout performance management processes and cycles.Strategic PartnershipCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational needs and employee initiatives.Participate in HR planning and contribute to initiatives aligned with broader business objectives.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of HR Generalist experience with hands-on payroll processing experience.Demonstrated experience processing payroll from start to finish, including reviewing and auditing payroll data and resolving discrepancies.Experience with Paylocity or a comparable payroll/HRIS platform.Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and applicable state requirements.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. xhyhwjd Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
