Position Overview

TheraPlay Child Orthopedic Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Stafford, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for pediatric patients to assess their needs and capabilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that align with each child's unique goals and needs.
• Regularly conduct assessments to gauge progress, re-evaluate treatment strategies, and modify goals as necessary, ensuring effective patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the company’s electronic health record system including SOAP notes, treatment summaries, and individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about the therapy process, expected outcomes, and strategies to overcome challenges.
• Meet established productivity targets and other organizational objectives while delivering high-quality care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for clients receiving multiple therapeutic services.
• Embody and advocate for the company's core values by promoting a positive work culture.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work predominantly with children facing various physical challenges, ranging from developmental delays to acute rehabilitation needs following surgery or injury. Our approach is culturally competent, appreciating the diverse backgrounds and healthcare needs of our patients, ensuring accessible and equitable treatment for all.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Open to conducting evaluations and treatments both in-person and via telehealth platforms, as clinically appropriate.
• A strong enthusiasm for working with a diverse patient population, encompassing various age groups and backgrounds.
• Demonstrated adaptability and teamwork skills, reflecting a flexible mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in a pediatric setting or specialized training in child development or rehabilitation practices will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy modalities is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
