Work Environment

This position is based onsite, where you will engage directly with patients in their homes, adapting therapies to their unique environments. Our state-of-the-art facility supports a collaborative work culture among our two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The warm, supportive atmosphere we’ve cultivated allows for high-quality interactions and tailored treatments based on individual assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish a clear set of treatment goals.
• Administer treatments and therapeutic exercises designed to mitigate pain, enhance mobility, and restore function. You will typically serve 2-3 patients per hour.
• Develop detailed care plans employing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to individual patient requirements, ensuring a personalized approach.
• Utilize manual therapy skills effectively and demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT.
• Communicate regularly with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively, ensuring a holistic approach to patient management.
• Monitor and analyze treatment progress, adjusting care plans as needed based on outcomes and patient feedback.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans clearly and accurately to maintain compliance and continuity of care.
• Provide education and support to patients, inspiring them to adopt healthy lifestyles through fitness regimens and wellness strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and sports-related ailments. This includes helping athletes regain their peak performance levels and working with active adults who want to improve or maintain their mobility. You will play a pivotal role in non-surgical rehabilitation, promoting safe and effective recovery processes.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia state license to practice as a physical therapist without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in physical assessment techniques.
• Experience using EMR systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Previous experience with home care settings and managing a varied patient caseload will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
