We primarily work with private medical insurance carriers, ensuring each patient receives the financial support they need to access our services. Work Environment This role is performed onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Dumfries, Virginia, where you will work collaboratively with a team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The facility is designed to provide a welcoming atmosphere for patients while housing the latest therapeutic equipment and treatment modalities. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a stable schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients' conditions to establish their rehabilitation goals and needs. Develop comprehensive care plans incorporating a variety of treatment techniques tailored to each patient. Provide individualized treatment for 2-3 patients per hour, focusing on improving their mobility and reducing pain. Design fitness and wellness programs that foster patient engagement and aid recovery. Administer manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to enhance treatment outcomes. Monitor and document patient progress consistently, using electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote integrated care. Educate patients on self-management strategies and lifestyle modifications to support their rehabilitation journey. Actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and improve service delivery. Continuously evaluate treatment efficacy, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily serve patients dealing with orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic is diverse, ranging from young athletes to elderly individuals seeking relief from age-related physical challenges. Qualifications Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. Current Virginia Physical Therapist License with no disciplinary actions. Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings. Hands-on experience in developing and implementing treatment strategies that enhance mobility and functionality. A proven track record of collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
