Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview
Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date 09/13/2026 for a 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is rotating 12-hour blocks. Work in an inpatient L&D unit providing obstetric, gynecologic, and newborn care. Weekly pay range: $2,273 to $2,371 per week.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods; support GYN and newborn care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, assist with deliveries and cesarean sections, administer medications, and document care in the charting system (Epic/Stork experience preferred)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage triage, recovery, and postpartum/newborn care; maintain appropriate RN coverage ratios (1:1 to 2:1 as needed)
- Perform routine nursing assessments, monitor vitals, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams as required
- Floats may be required to MB, pediatrics, or adult floors as needed; provide cross-coverage while maintaining scope of practice
- Maintain compliance with BLS, ACLS, and NRP protocols; ensure infection control and patient safety standards

Requirements
- Current active RN license in New York (state-specific licensure or eligibility to practice in NY)
- 4–5 years of L&D nursing experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required
- Experience in obstetrics across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum; GYN and newborn care; Epic/Stork experience preferred
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including days and nights; willingness to float to MB, pediatrics, or adult floors as needed
- Education: RN degree (licensure to practice as a registered nurse)
