Team Overview

Our Finance organization partners closely with Sales, Operations, Professional Services, Legal, Product and Executive Leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, scalable processes and sound business decision-making. The Revenue Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting IPC's growth by ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards while providing transparency into commercial performance.

Role Overview:

The Senior Revenue Accountant will be a key member of IPC’s Revenue Accounting team, owning critical revenue recognition activities for a global fintech business with complex, recurring and contract-based revenue streams. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys technical revenue accounting, cross-functional partnership, systems-enabled process improvement and the opportunity to influence how a growing finance organization scales.

This position will serve as a trusted revenue accounting subject matter expert, helping ensure accurate ASC 606 application, audit-ready documentation, strong internal controls and timely insights that support leadership decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Own key components of the monthly revenue close process, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and IPC policies.
• Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue schedules and supporting analyses.
• Analyze customer contracts, amendments and non-standard terms to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment and documentation.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Billing, Professional Services, Operations and FP&A to align commercial activity with accurate accounting outcomes.
• Support month-, quarter- and year-end revenue fluctuation analysis, providing clear commentary on trends, drivers and risks.
• Maintain strong documentation and control discipline to support external audits, SOX requirements and statutory reporting needs.
• Contribute to Oracle Cloud and Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) enhancements, automation opportunities and process redesign initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, reduce manual work, strengthen controls and increase consistency across the revenue cycle.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on technical accounting matters, new revenue arrangements, system implementations and finance transformation projects.
• Provide guidance to junior team members as needed and help build scalable revenue accounting practices for a global organization.

• Partner directly with Finance, Sales, Legal, Billing, Operations, and Professional Services to connect commercial decisions with accurate accounting outcomes.
• Contribute to systems, automation, and process improvement initiatives that help the Finance organization scale with greater efficiency and visibility.

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful revenue accounting experience in SaaS, technology, fintech, financial services or another complex recurring revenue environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of ASC 606, U.S. GAAP, deferred revenue, contract review and revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, revenue schedules, variance analysis and audit-ready support.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and apply sound accounting judgment to non-standard or complex arrangements.
• Experience with ERP or revenue accounting systems; Oracle Cloud and RMCS experience is a strong plus.
• Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately with large data sets and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to partner with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Legal, Billing and Operations.
• Curiosity, ownership mindset and a continuous improvement orientation, with a desire to strengthen processes, controls and systems.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience in fintech, SaaS, subscription, usage-based, managed services or other recurring revenue businesses.
• Exposure to Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS), Salesforce, billing platforms, Power BI or similar reporting and revenue automation tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS 15, multinational revenue accounting considerations or statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting system implementations, integrations, automation or finance transformation initiatives.
• Prior experience in public accounting or an audit-facing role.
