Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their service and repair needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role involves strong communication skills, technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, and the ability to manage service appointments and work closely with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing them with accurate information about truck repairs, maintenance, and service options.
• Service Coordination: Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow of incoming trucks, ensuring that service timelines are met and customers are updated on the status of their vehicles.
• Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for repairs and maintenance, explaining the necessary work to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
• Work Order Management: Create and maintain detailed service orders, ensuring accurate tracking of all work performed and parts used.
• Problem Solving: Address customer concerns and issues in a professional manner, providing solutions and managing expectations for repairs and service delivery.
• Parts Ordering and Inventory Management: Coordinate with parts departments to order necessary components and ensure parts availability for service completion.
• Collaboration with Technicians: Communicate clearly with service technicians and mechanics to ensure that work is completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Follow-up: Follow up with customers after service is completed to ensure satisfaction and to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
• 3+ experience as a service advisor, preferably in the heavy-duty truck or diesel engine industry.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders, work orders, and diagnostic reports.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and customers at once.
• Proficiency with service management software and basic computer programs (e.g., MS Office).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift heavy parts (up to 50 pounds).
• Comfortable working in both office and shop environments.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions as needed.
