Key Responsibilities Provide direct individual and group therapy sessions to a diverse client population, addressing a range of mental health issues, including mood disorders. Ensure proper documentation of therapy sessions is completed promptly, adhering to agency and licensing standards, to sustain high-quality patient care. Assist in programming for group therapy sessions, contributing to team training sessions aimed at enhancing service delivery at the clinic. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, facilitating effective communication regarding patient progress to formulate and adapt treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Offer consultation services to treatment teams, leveraging your expertise to develop comprehensive patient treatment strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. Patient Population / Client Focus At Inner Magic Counseling, our clients represent a wide array of backgrounds and experiences. Our practice is particularly focused on providing support for individuals experiencing mood disorders, with therapeutic approaches grounded in evidence-based methods. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is mandatory. Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), for the treatment of mood disorders. Strong understanding of psychopharmacology, with capabilities to collaborate efficiently with psychiatrists and other medical professionals on multi-disciplinary care. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and enhancing therapeutic outcomes. Preferred Experience Experience in providing therapy to a variety of patients, particularly those with a focus on mood and anxiety disorders. A proven track record of achieving successful patient outcomes, demonstrating the effectiveness of your therapeutic approach. Experience in community outreach initiatives and commitment to enhancing mental health awareness in various settings.
