This position will be part of our Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Integration and Test (I&T) team to plan and execute Air Vehicle level integration, test and checkout activities supporting the Sentinel program.What you’ll get to do:Synthesize system and test requirements into verification requirements, test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrationsSupport the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reportsDesign, develop, and implement testing methods and equipmentInterface with software developers and systems engineers in support of flight hardware integration and test activities.Review test plans, procedures, and reportsWitness and verify testing as the Cognizant EngineerExecution of Air Vehicle and integrated sub-system qualification and acceptance testing in preparation for developmental flight testingIntegrate hardware, software, and avionics received from sub-system teamsParticipate in internal and customer test planning working groupsSupport program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) developmentCompile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or test requirementsCollaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing processParticipate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverablesExecute tests and manage and prioritize problems/failuresReview and evaluate test results and provide summary reportsWork with cross functional, multi-discipline teams at the element, system, and segment levelIdentify configurations to support test and prototyping of developing Air Vehicle systemsPerform data analysis of input, internal, and output message dataDocument test results and prepare test status documentationCreate Test Discrepancy Reports to document issuesDevelop troubleshooting proceduresInterface with other internal engineering groups to develop and improve internal processes and proceduresMaintain test equipment documentation and follow configuration management requirementsParticipate in test facility stand-up activities, including operations and process developmentAlthough primary location is Roy, UT, the candidate will be required to travel to Promontory, UT, and at times, Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB) or other specific test facilities, for the execution of the overall test campaign and various development test activities. This may require second shift work as well as working multiple weeks at a time at those facilities.Basic Qualifications:Principal Systems Test Engineer: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, 6 years of experience with a Master's degree; 4 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Both Levels:Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.Working knowledge of system integration (HW and SW) and test principlesExperience developing and executing integrated hardware and software testingExperience defining test objectives based on test requirements, VCRM and interface and specification documentationExperience with data collection/instrumentation (methods, setup, checkout, and troubleshooting)Experience in troubleshooting anomalous hardware and softwareExperience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout)Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementPreferred Qualifications:Active DoD Top Secret/SCI level clearance granted or re-investigated within last 6 yearsExperience working with or designing Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) or Automated Test equipment (development and execution)Experience with developing/leading technologies and integrating them into aerospace vehicle systems for defense applicationsExperience with aerodynamic performance of missiles and construction of materialsUnderstanding of aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, and controlFlight Test Instrumentation design/development experienceExperience in design, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting of test cables, test sets and support equipmentExperience with Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysMLProficiency in DOORS and CameoExperience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, Jira)Experience with integration and test of large-scale vehicles or weapon systemsExperience as acting Test Conductor/Lead during test procedure executionFamiliarity with ICBMsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.#SentinelintandtestPrimary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
